  • First and foremost, press Start and then click on the Control Panel Home, which is given on the left side. After that, press System & Maintenance, which is given on the top of the computer screen.
  • After that, move down and press the Admin Tools.
  • Next, you have to double press the Services and then move down to the Print Spooler. After that, right press on the Print Spooler and then restart it.
  • Now, double-press on the Print Spooler and then choose the Automatic for (Startup type). Now click on Apply and press the OK button.

Run an SFC scan to fix the Brother Printer problem easily:

  • In the beginning, go to your keyboard and click on the Windows logo button and enter the cmd. Then, right-click in the Command Prompt. After that, press " Run as admin.
  • Then press the Yes button when it prompts to confirm.
  • Now, go to the command prompt tab, enter the SFC / scan now and click on the Enter key.
  • Next, restart the PC device for the changes to take effect.

Power cycle your printer to easily solve the Brother printer's mysterious glitches or issues:

  • First of all, switch off the Brother printer device and then disconnect it from the main power socket.

Simple Steps to Solve the Brother Printer Error 48 (Paper Scraps or Paper Jam):

Method 1: Remove the Jammed Paper

  • First of all, unplug the Brother printer device.
  • Then, turn on the printer scanner cover, followed by looking inside the machine.
  • Now, search for the paper jam or paper debris inside the printer machine.
  • Next, ensure that no piece of paper is blocking the machine print head.
  • After that, slide the printer to the right or left to inspect for any piece of debris.
  • Now you have to move the print head into the center if it is on the left side.
  • Next, you need to check the foreign materials inside the printer device.
  • Then, shut off the scanner cover. And put the power cable back on the machine.
  • Now, if the issue persists, you have to clear the encoder strip.
  • Next, attach the power cable back to the device if the print head is on the right side.
  • And when the displayed pop-up, the machine Cover is open. at that time, tap and grasp the Exit key for at least 5 seconds.
  • Now, you have to unplug the power cable when the print head moves back to the center.
  • After that, take out the foreign materials that are stuck inside the machine.
  • Next, turn off the device Scanner cover and connect the power cables back to the wall outlet.
  • Lastly, if the issue is still on the device, you have to clean the device encoder strip.

Method 2: Cleaning of the Encoder Strip to resolve the Brother Printer Paper Jam or Scraps:

  • Initially, disconnect all the power cables from the machine as well as from the main outlet.
  • Now, you have to move the device’s scanner cover-up and then search for the Encoder Strip.
  • Next, take a dry lint cloth and smoothly clean both sides of the Encoder Strip.
  • Then, you have to clean it carefully from right to left and repeat it again and again.
  • After cleaning the Encoder Strip, you have to shut off the Scanner Cover.
  • Now, connect all the power cables back to the machine and inspect for the issue.
