Panasonic Printer Code Errors and Messages

Printer code errors and messages are a common problem; refer to the messages a Panasonic printer displays on the screen. For instance, “Toner is empty.” If the printer is displaying this error message, there is a problem with the toner. Similarly, the printer will display an error message for any other part of the printer. In these cases, the printer stops printing and responding to the print command. Therefore, you need some troubleshooting methods to fix these error codes.

Error 1: U32 “Toner is Empty”

The U32 error happens when the toner runs out. An empty toner causes the printer to print incorrectly and show misalignment. Toner is a powder-type product that prints letters and images on documents. Hence, if it is running out, the printer will have problems.

If you’re getting this error message on the printer, it means the toner cartridge is empty. Replacing the old toner with a new one is the best solution for this error.

Step 1: Turn off the Printer

Before you remove and install the new toner cartridge, you must turn the printer off.

Follow these steps to turn off your printer:

  1. First of all, press and hold the power button at the front of your printer.
  2. Then, disconnect the power cable of your printer from the main power outlet on the wall.

Step 2: Open the Front Cover

The front cover is the cover below the paper output tray, which contains the ink toners. You have to gently pull it towards you. When you open it, you will see the ink toners arranged in a sequence.

However, in some Panasonic printers, this cover is opened by pressing a release button. So, you must check your printer’s manual to see where the front cover is.

Step 3: Remove the Ink Toner

When you see the toners arranged into their slots and according to their color, remove the empty toner. Here’s how to do it.

Firstly, you should know which toner is empty. You can check this by shaking the toners. So, gently remove it from the slots and check.

Usually, your Panasonic printer will display empty toners on the screen, such as “Low Cyan,” “Low Magenta,” “Replace black toner,” etc. Once you have found the empty toner, gently pull it out from the slot.

Step 4: Place the New Toner

When you know which printer is empty and you have removed it, you’re ready to replace it with a new one. Follow these steps to replace the toner:

  1. Take the new toner and remove its packaging.
  2. Then, place it in the empty slot from which you have removed the toner.
  3. Ensure that the new toner is the same color as the one that ran out.
  4. You can check it on the label of your new toner. The name of the color will be written.

Step 5: Close the Printer’s Front Cover

Once you have replaced the toner, you can close the front door. To do so, gently push the door into its place.

Step 6: Turn On the Panasonic Printer

  1. Reconnect the printer’s power cable to the power outlet on the wall.
  2. Then, press and hold the power button at the front of your Panasonic printer.

That’s how you can successfully replace an ink toner from the Panasonic printer.

Error 2: U33 – No Toner

No Toner error can happen when the ink toners are not installed correctly or they are incompatible with your Panasonic printer. But the good thing is that you can fix it very easily. Check out the two methods to resolve this error.

Issue 1: Ink Toner Not Installed Correctly

Toner not being installed correctly is a common problem that can cause your Panasonic printer to show a false “No Toner” error. In this case, you can reinsert the ink toners into their slots.

Step 1: Turn Off the Printer
  1. First, press the power button at the front of your printer to turn it off.
  2. Then, remove its power cable from the power outlet on the wall.
  3. Now, wait for a minute and reconnect the power cable to the power outlet on the wall.
  4. Finally, press the power button at the front of the printer.
Step 2: Open the Printer’s Front Cover

The printer’s front cover is where your ink toner cartridges are installed. You need to open that cover to access the toners.

  1. Gently pull the printer’s front cover to open it.
  2. Then, check the toners arranged in a sequence. These are the black boxes arranged in their slots in a series.

Step 3: Remove and Reinsert Toners
  1. Slowly pull out the toner cartridge from its slot.
  2. Then, reinsert that into the slot and ensure that it fits properly.
  3. Similarly, remove and reinsert the other toners put into that slot.

If removing and reinserting the toners doesn’t fix the “No Toner” error, check out the next method.

Issue 2: Your Ink Toner Is Incompatible

Sometimes, when the ink toners are not compatible with the printer, it will show “No Toner” issues. It doesn’t recognize the ink toner and displays an error as if the toner is running out. In this case, you need to check the toner for compatibility.

Step 1: Check the Error Message

If the printer is displaying U33 – No Toner,” “Toner Error,” orInstall Toner Cartridge,” and you’ve reinserted the toner cartridge already, the toner may not be compatible. In this case, you should check the toner cartridge again.

Step 2: Check the Toner Packaging

The steps for opening the printer’s front cover and releasing toners are the same as the first method.

  1. Open the front cover of the Panasonic printer and release the toners to check their labels. Otherwise, if you have their toner boxes, you can check them.
  2. Now, check your Panasonic printer model name.
Step 3: Match the Toner Name With the Printer Model
  1. After that, Google the compatible toners for your printer model.
  2. If you don’t see your toner name on the list, your toner is likely incompatible with your printer.

Hence, insert a compatible ink toner into your Panasonic printer.
