Panasonic Printer Paper Jam

A paper jam error simply means that a piece of paper is stuck inside your printer, which is stopping it from working. Whenever your printer has a paper jam, it will display “Paper Jam” on the screen. The computer can also show this error on the screen. Whenever such an issue occurs, you need to troubleshoot it with some effective methods.

Solution 1: Clear the Stuck Paper

When a piece of paper is stuck in your printer’s paper tray, it can cause a paper jam error. In this case, you need to clear that stuck piece of paper. Use the steps given below to clear the paper jam.

Step 1: Turn Off Your Printer

In the first step, you should turn off your Panasonic printer using the steps given below:

  • First of all, press the power button at the front of your printer.
  • Then, remove the printer’s power cable from the main power supply board on the wall outlet.

Step 2: Open the Printer Cover

A printer cover is a place where papers can get stuck and cause a paper jam error. This printer cover is located at the front bottom of the printer. Gently pull out this cover to open it. However, if you don’t know where it is on your Panasonic printer, check your printer’s manual. You can Google the printer manual for your printer model.

Step 3: Remove the Stuck Papers

  1. Check if there is any piece of paper stuck in that place.
  2. If you find any paper stuck, remove it with your hands or use tweezers.
  3. If you can’t see through that place, use a flashlight to check everything.

Remove any paper or object that can stop your printer from working normally.

Step 4: Close the Printer’s Front Cover

  1. Slowly push the printer cover back to its original position.
  2. Reconnect the printer’s power cable to the power outlet on the wall.
  3. Then, press the power button on the printer and let the power light blink on the printer.

Solution 2: Check the Paper Feed Rollers

The paper feed rollers are the rubber equipment inside the printer that grabs the paper and sends it for printing. If these rollers are dirty or misaligned, they will not adjust the papers in the printer and cause the paper jam error. Learn how to check the paper feed rollers:

Step 1: Turn Off the Panasonic Printer

  1. First of all, press the power button on the printer and let the power light turn off.
  2. Then, disconnect the printer’s power cable from the main switch on the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for a minute, and then reconnect the power cable to the wall outlet.

Step 2: Open the Printer’s Cover

Then, open the printer’s front cover. This is the place where toners are installed. Gently open this door.

Step 3: Clean the Paper Feed Rollers

  1. Check the paper rollers, which are black rubber, and place them near the papers or toners inside the tray.
  2. Now, check if they are dirty. If they are, use a lint-free, damp cloth to clean those rubber rollers.
  3. Rotate the holders slowly with your hands to clean them properly.
  4. Let the rollers dry for 10-15 minutes.

Step 4: Close the Printer’s Cover

Finally, close the paper front cover and turn on the printer. To open it, gently push it into place. These steps will clean your paper feed rollers.

Solution 3: Factory Reset the Printer

When nothing is working, you can factory reset your Panasonic printer. Check out how to reset your printer:

  1. First of all, find the Menu button on your printer’s Control Panel.

Why Is My Panasonic Printer Showing a Paper Jam Error?

Your Panasonic printer is showing a paper jam error for several reasons. The first and the common reason is that any piece of paper is stuck in the paper tray. Apart from that, if the paper rollers in the paper tray are dirty, it can lead to paper jam errors.
