  • After that, you need to keep pressing the menu option until you see the ‘Print Management’ option on the screen.
  • Next, you have to keep scrolling to the bottom until the ‘PNE Port’ option does not appear.
  • And then, keep pressing the right arrow button and look for the ‘ethernet’ option.
  • Now, click on the ‘Enter’ option.
  • In the last step, you will get to see the PNE port on display.

Issue: Tally printer is telling us to switch the emulation of the printer.

Cause: The printer’s emulation is facing some issue

Solutions:

Method A
  • For the first step, you need to use any of the web browsers on your computer device to get into the NIC (Network Interference Card). (The IP address of your web address is the IP of your NIC.)
  • After that, you are required to click on the ‘Configuration’ option.
  • Now, in the configuration option, you need to log in.
  • When it is necessary to enter the username, you have to type ‘root’ without the quotes.
  • There is no need to enter anything in the password section.
  • Now, you have to choose the ‘print model’ option.
  • And then, you are required to verify the mode. (Keep in mind that for port g100 default port is m1)
  • Afterward, you have to select the configuration number from the drop-down list. (The acceptable values are 1-8, factory, (None).
  • Next, move to the bottom of the page and choose the ‘Submit’ button.
  • After that, you need to select the ‘System’ menu function from the top of the page.
  • Finally, press the reboot key and when the confirmation box appears on the screen, click on the ‘Yes’ option.
Method B
  • First of all, you are required to start the telnet session with the help of the NIC.
  • After that, use the IP address of the NIC to run the telnet.
  • Now, you have to write ‘root’ without quotes in the username section.
  • Additionally, you need to leave the password section empty.
  • And then, you have to press the enter button.
  • Afterward, check the current configuration for Model m1 by typing the list model m1.
  • Enter ‘set model m1 config 1’ if you want to set the model m1 to confi #1. (Note- you should keep in mind not to give space between m and 1, and there is space between config and 1.)
  • Next, same as confi #1, if you want to get model m1 to config #4, you need to type ‘set model m1 config 4.’
  • (Note- Do not load the configuration that has not been saved yet.)
  • You are required to enter the ‘set model m1 config 0’ to set the model m1 to factory config.
  • If you want to clear the config for m1, type ‘set model m1 config.’
  • When you are done with the process of making changes, then, in order to save the changes, you need to type ‘apply’ and then ‘reset.’
  • In the final step, when the NIC is reset, the printer will be power cycled automatically.

Issue: The last page is not ejecting from the Tally printer.

Cause: The ‘form fee’ command is missing the print job.

Solutions

Method A
  • For the first step, you are required to log in to NIC by utilizing the web browser of your computer system. (The IP of the NIC and web address are the same.)
  • After that, you need to choose the configuration option and then log in.
  • If you are asked to enter the username, you need to type ‘root’ the same as in the quotes.
  • However, the password field should be kept blank.
  • Now, you need to move to the ‘print model’ option and click on it.
  • In the next step, verify the model. (Remember that the default mode for port g100 is m1)
  • And then, choose the ‘Form Feed’ trailer option from the drop-down list.
  • Afterward, choose the ‘Submit’ button by going to the bottom of the page.
  • Furthermore, you are required to move to the top of the page and choose the ‘System Menu’ option.
  • Lastly, tap on the reboot button and select the ‘Yes’ option to ensure that you want to reboot the system.
Method B
  • First and foremost, with the help of the NIC, you need to open the telnet session on your computer device.
  • After that, you have to open the DOS window or/and utilize the IP address of the NIC in order to run the telnet.
  • When the username field appears on the screen, you need to enter ‘root.’ (You need to enter root without the quotes and in small letters.)
  • Additionally, leave the password field as it is, and do not enter anything in the field.
  • Now, in order to check the current trailer for model m1, you have to type ‘list model m1.’
  • Next, you need to type ‘set model m1 trailer OXOC’ if you want to set a trailer of ‘form feed’ for model m1. (OXOC is the numerical value of the form feeder character.)
  • After that, as ‘form feed’ is defined as variable $FF, you need to type ‘set model m1 trailer $FF.’
  • For clearing the trailer of m1, type ‘set model m1 trailer.’
  • You have to enter ‘save’ when all the changes are complete.
  • Afterward, type ‘reset’ to reset the NIC.
  • Once the NIC reset is done, your printer will be power cycled automatically.
