Sometimes Tally printers show error messages or codes on their display. Each message or code corresponds to a unique error. It becomes necessary to solve these errors because you won’t be able to print until they’re solved.
When the papers inside the paper tray are damaged or crumbled, the Tally printer shows an eject error on its display. The only solution to fix this problem is to clear any obstructions from the paper tray:
If the paper tray is dirty, remove the paper from it and clean it with a damp cloth.
This is one of the most common errors that appear on the printer’s screen when ink is about to run out.
From here, you will see which ink levels are low.
If you are unable to find the access door, please refer to your printer’s manual.
Ensure you fix it into the slot properly. If multiple cartridges are empty, replace them in the same manner.
Once you have replaced the empty cartridge, close the door gently and reconnect your printer to the power supply. Then, turn on the power button on your printer.
Your printer shows error messages when the connection is faulty, ink or toner levels are low, or there is a paper jam in the printer. Moreover, it can also be triggered by any hardware or software-related issue in the printer.
To get rid of the error codes and messages on your Tally printer, you can follow a range of troubleshooting steps:
Power cycle your Tally printer.
Check for the wired and wireless connections.
Reinstall the printer drivers.
Replace the empty ink cartridges.
Clean the paper tray and change the stack of papers.
If you are getting error codes on your printer, a power cycle would work great to fix it:
First, disconnect the power cord of the Tally printer from the power source.
Wait for a minute and plug the printer’s power cord into the power source.
Once done, try printing again with your printer and check if the error code is resolved.
