Sometimes you can be in situations where you cannot detect the actual cause of an issue. In this case, most people do not have any idea what they should do to fix their printer. So, in the following sections, you will learn about some of the miscellaneous causes you can face with your Samsung printer and methods to solve them.

Issue: Print spooler error

Cause: When some settings are disturbed in the print spooler.

Solution:

  • Firstly, click on the ‘Start’ menu on your computer screen and then go to the ‘Control Panel,’
  • Next, in the control panel, you need to choose the ‘System and Maintenance’ option.
  • Afterward, you have to move down and choose the ‘Admin Tools’ option.
  • Furthermore, you have to double-click on the ‘services’ option and then look for the ‘print spooler’ option.
  • After that, you need to right-click the print spooler option and restart it.
  • And then, go and double-click on the print spooler option and then select the ‘Automatic’ option for ‘start-up type.’
  • Now, click the ‘apply’ option and choose the ‘ok’ option.
  • In the last step, you can try running the print job on your printer.

Issue: Corrupt files error

Cause: You can face the issue in the printer if any file becomes corrupt on the device.

Solution: 

Try running an SFC scan to fix your printer.

  • First of all, you need to press the Windows logo button on your keyboard to open the start menu on your computer.
  • Now, go to the search section, type ‘cmd,’ and hit the Enter button to open the command prompt.
  • Next, on the ‘Run,’ you have to choose the ‘admin’ option.
  • When a pop-up box appears for confirmation, you need to click on the ‘Yes’ button.
  • After that, you need to go to the command prompt, type SCF or scanner option and press the ok button.
  • To apply the changes, you need to restart your computer system.

Issue: Printer not printing after working long hours

Cause: the printer can have a minor technical issue after working long hours.
Solution

  • Power cycling is an excellent option; you can try to solve some minor errors or technical issues in your printer.
  • First of all, you are required to turn off your Samsung printer by pressing the power button on the printer.
  • Next, you have to remove the printer's cords from the electric outlet and computer.
  • After that, keep the printer disconnected and wait for a minute or two.
  • And then, plug back in the printer’s cord to the power socket and printer and switch it on.
  • Now check if the errors on your printer have been resolved or not.

Issue: Error in the document tray

Cause: the papers are folded, or the document tray is not set properly.

Solution

  • To inspect the paper jam issue on your printer first, you need to unplug your Samsung printer.
  • Next, you need to look inside the printer by removing the scanner cover of your printer.
  • After that, you need to look for paper debris or paper jam on your printer.
  • And then check if there is any paper crumpled in the paper tray or stuck in the printer head.
  • Now, you can also move the printer right and left to see any piece of scrap stuck there. (Move the printer head to the center if it is on the left side.)
  • You also have to ensure that there are no foreign parts used in your Samsung printer.
  • Now, put the printer cover back in and attach the cables of the printer to the power socket.
  • If you are still facing the issue, you need to clear the encoder strip and follow the further process.
  • After that, if you see the printer head on the right side, you need to attach the power cable back to the device.
  • When the machine cover is open, a pop-up box will appear on the screen; in this case, you need to keep pressing the Exit key for at least 5 seconds.
  • After that, remove the power cables when the printer head is again shifted to the center.
  • Afterward, you need to take out any foreign material inside the printer.
  • Next, put the scanner cover of the printer in its place and attach the cord to switch on the printer.
  • If you are still facing problems with your printer, you have to clean the encoder strips of your Samsung printer.
  • Issue: Error in the encoder strip of the printer
  • Cause: Dust, lint, ink overspray, and others can cause problems in the encoder strip.

Solution

  • First and foremost, you have to remove the cords from the printer and the electric outlet.
  • Now remove the cover of the scanner and look for the encoder strip inside the machine.
  • After that, you need to take a dry cloth (lint) and clear both sides of the encoder strips. (Make sure you are cleaning it from right to left very carefully and smoothly.
  • When the cleaning process of the encoder strip is complete, you have to put back the scanner cover.
  • Now, attach all the cables to the printer and the electric socket.
  • Finally, inspect the printer to check for errors in your Samsung printer.

Why is my Samsung printer printing lines?

The primary reason for your Samsung printer printing lines can be blocked, damaged, or dirty printhead. Also, you can face this issue when the ink cartridge is not set properly or has a leakage problem.
