The printer not printing issue means that your OKI printer is unable to process the print jobs when you send a document or photo. You repeatedly press Ctrl + P, but the printer does not respond. It sounds like printing, but nothing comes out. If this is happening with your printer, it is in trouble. An OKI printer does not print for many reasons, such as paper stuck in the paper tray, low toner levels, paper jam issues, incorrect IP address, and printer software-related issues. However, you can fix this error quite easily with certain troubleshooting methods.
Reasons for an OKI Printer Not Printing
- Ink levels are low.
- A piece of paper or an object is stuck in the print queue.
- Paper jam issue.
- Network connection issue.
- The printer software is corrupted or outdated.
Step 1: Check the OKI Printer Connection
Your first step should be to check the printer connection.
- Check if your printer is turned on from the power outlet on the wall.
- Then, check if the printer and computer are well connected to the USB cable.
- Check if the USB cable is not broken or damaged. If it is, replace it with a new one.
Step 2: Restart the Printer
- Press & hold the power button at the front of the printer to turn it off.
- Disconnect the power cable of the printer from the wall outlet. Then, wait for a minute.
- Now, reconnect the power cable of your printer to the wall outlet.
- Press the power button again to turn on your OKI printer.
Try printing with your printer after restarting it. If this solution doesn’t fix your printer’s problem, move on to the next method.
Step 3: Print the Network Report
You can print a network report with some easy steps on your printer. This step will ensure that your printer is connected to the right network.
- To begin, press the Settings or Menu button on the printer.
- Then, use the arrow keys to navigate to the Print Reports option.
- Now, select the Network Information option, and click OK or press Enter.
- After that, click the Network Status or Print Report option and press Enter.
- Finally, you will see the network information in the report.
The report will also reveal any errors, if present.
Step 4: Cancel the Pending Print Jobs
An OKI won’t print if it is overloaded with print commands. The printer will not process your documents, and your printer will not print at all. In this case, you need to cancel those unnecessary print jobs. Check out how to do it.
- Click the Windows icon on your computer’s taskbar and search for Control Panel and open it.
- Then, click the Hardware and Software option, and then click Devices and Printers.
- Now, select your OKI printer and right-click on it.
- Select the “See what’s Printing” option from the expanded menu.
- Next, select print jobs and click the Cancel option to cancel that.
You can cancel multiple print jobs if you want. Then, again, try to print with your OKI printer.
