Whenever there is a network problem, you should restart your printer, computer, and WiFi router. When you restart everything, the network problem will be resolved on your printer. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1: Restart Your Computer
- Click the Windows icon on the computer’s taskbar at the bottom left.
- Then, click the power button and click the Restart button.
Step 2: Restart Your Xerox Printer
- Press the power button on the printer to turn it off.
- Disconnect the printer’s power cord from the power switch on the wall.
- Now, wait for 1-2 minutes and reconnect the printer’s power cable to the power switch.
- Press and hold the power button to turn it on.
Step 3: Restart Your WiFi Router
- Disconnect the power cable of the router from the power switch on the wall.
- Then, wait for 1-2 minutes and then reconnect the power cable to the power switch again.
Problem 2: Poor or Faded Prints

Step 1: Check the Toner Levels
- Go to the Menu on the Xerox printer via its Control Panel or touchscreen.
- Then, locate the Supplies option and click the Toner Levels option.
- Check which toner levels are low.
Step 2: Replace the Toner
- Turn off the printer by pressing its power button and disconnecting its power cable from the power switch on the wall.
- Then, open its front door gently by pulling it towards you.
- Now, check for the empty cartridge inside and remove it gently with your hands.
- Take a new cartridge of the same color and place it in the empty slot.
- Close the door carefully by pushing it into place.
- Turn on the printer by reconnecting its power cable to the power switch and pressing its power button.
Problem 3: Printer Keeps Restarting or Freezing
If you notice that your printer freezes while working, it is a sign that you have overused it. When the printer gets too hot, it can freeze in the middle of work.
Solution: Let It Cool Down
If you have been working on your printer for hours, allow your printer to cool down for 30 minutes. You can also turn off the printer completely for better results. To turn it off:
- Press the power button on the printer.
