XEROX Printer Paper Jam


Paper jam is one of the most faced problems of the users. There are various types of reasons because of why the user is stuck on the paper jam problem. Paper happens inside and also outside of the printer device. If you also face a paper jam on your device, follow the steps given below. 

Causes:

  • Maybe you used the incorrect paper setting in the document tray or the print driver.
  • It is also due to the humidity.
  • Maybe you load the paper incorrectly on the paper tray.
  • If you overload the document tray, then this problem is also encountered.

Solutions:

Solution 1:

  • First and foremost, click on the “Windows key and the R button” on the keyboard.
  • Then, enter the “services.msc” in the run window without quotes and then press the Enter button.
  • Now, find the “Print Spooler” service.
  • Next, right-tap on it, and then you have to click on the “Stop” option. Now turn off the services tab.
  • Then, click on the “Windows key plus the R button” and then paste the “%windir%\System32\spool\PRINTERS” without quotes, and press the Enter button.
  • Note: Maybe you get the pop-up notification for granting permission to the UAC control. You have to be permitted to access the folder.
  • Now, you will get the list of printer jobs given in the folder.
  • After that, you need to choose all the jobs and remove them.
  • Next, turn off Windows Explorer.
  • And then, click on the “Windows key plus the R button” on the keyboard.
  • Now, enter the “services.msc” in the run window without quotes and press the Enter button.
  • Find the “Print Spooler” service.
  • Now, right-tap on it, and then you are required to choose the “Start” button and then turn off the services tab.
  • Finally, try to print any document.

Solution 2:

  • In the beginning, move up the lever and open up the upper cover of the printer document feeder.
  • Now, move out the original straight if the original is not adjusted in the place of the Document Feeder.
  • Then, carefully read the message that is given on the screen and follow the instructions as is given. If it shows, move the green wheel in the direction that appeared in the pop-up message to delete the original from the printer handler.
  • Next, slide up on the green window if it shows to turn open the inner cover and move the wheel in the provided direction to remove the jammed original easily.
  • After that, shut off the inner cover; after that, shut off the device's top cover. Next, ensure to tap down carefully on the cover until it is adjusted into place.
  • Then, move up the Feeder Tray and take out any paper in this place; after that, move down the tray back into the place.
  • Finally, slide the Paper Cover to move out any originals in this section, then move down the cover back into location.

Solution 3:

  • First of all, shut off the printer. Now, check the similar Content for detailed information.
  • And then, place the connector on the rear side of the Device.
  • Next, move to open the two-hand screws Counter Clockwise.
  • Now, unplug the DADF connector fully from the device.
  • After that, you have to reconnect the DADF connector to the device.
  • And then, strongly add the screws securely.
  • Finally, turn on the printer.

Solution 4:

  • First of all, move out the sheet from the device's left tray and then shut off the tray.
  • Then, slide the release lever for the door, now open the door.
  • Now, move out the stuck sheet.
  • And if the sheet is jammed on the inside of the door, you have to slide the printer’s handle. Next, move out the jammed document. Come back to handle to the original place.
  • After that, if the document is stuck in the fuser, now, move out the jammed sheet from locations.
  • Now, if the document is jammed at the last point to the machine’s center output tray, and then move out the jammed document.
  • Lastly, shut off the door, and press the door until it adjusts to the location.

Solution 5:

  • In the beginning, click on both RELEASE keys on either last point of the module simultaneously and move it out.
  • Then, move out the panel and gently take out the jammed sheet.
  • Now, place and take out any small piece of paper that remains in the device.
  • Then, take the module back by pressing it on and adjusting it to the location.
  • Now, click on the key on top of the module and then turn on the door.
  • Next, move out the panel and gently take out the stuck document.
  • After that, place and take out any small piece of paper that remains.
  • Lastly, shut off the rear module door of the device.

Solution 6:

  • First of all, you have to unplug the printer from the main power by disconnecting the power cord from the outlet.
  • Now, inspect the carriage to check if it rotates completely to the right side of the machine and is out of sight. Do not put pressure to the carriage to rotate if it's jammed, as this may damage the printer.
  • Next, gently take out the ink cartridge(s).
  • And then, without taking out the drawer, you have to move out any sheet in the document loading tray.
  • Now, take out the two-sided printing accessory or door of the rear access.
  • With the fingers, move the rollers toward the upper side of the printer for three complete rotations.
  • Now, change the two-sided printing accessory or door of the rear access.
  • Change the printer ink cartridges.
  • In the end, connect it and switch on the printer.

Why does my Xerox printer device keep showing the paper jam problem?

This issue is generally because of the incorrectly loaded paper on the document tray. It is also encountered if your printer has anyone from the paper fiber, dust, and other types of accumulating on the document feed rollers.

You have first to inspect the paper tray and then check that the paper is properly loaded. Now, inspect inside or outside the printer to check whether there is any type of paper that is stuck or not. You also have to check whether any piece of paper is stuck or not. And after that, you have to restart your printer device.

  • First of all, fill the sheet into the Xerox printer tray. And when you shut off the tray, the device console will show the many types of options.
  • And on the given console, click on the arrow of up-pointing next to Type.
  • Now, under the Type drop-down menu, click on the Recycled option.
  • Finally, click on the Confirm button.
