Your printer might be kept too far from the WiFi router or shielded by walls. This can be one of the reasons it loses connection after sleep. The printer’s power-saving (“deep sleep”) mode may be another reason. When in the deep sleep mode, the printer turns off its Wi-Fi to save energy and may not reconnect when it wakes up.
