Methods To Fix Canon Printer Error B504

Method 1- Replace Ink Cartridge
The steps to follow in this method are:
- Step 1: Unplug your printer from the cables and open the front cover.
- Step 2: Now, remove the upper component using a tool.
- Step 3: Move the printhead cart manually to the location to replace the ink cartridges.
- Step 4: Remove the ink cartridges one by one by gently pushing them down until you hear a click, then take them out.
- Step 5: Install the new set of cartridges that's compatible with your printer.
- Step 6: Then install the upper component back into the printer and close the front cover.
- Step 7: Plug in the cable and restart the printer.
- Step 8: Now, check and see if the error is resolved.
Method 2- Clean Print Head
The steps to follow in this method are:
- Step 1: With the printer on, open the ink cartridge access door.
- Step 2: Now, remove each cartridge by gently pressing the cartridge to release it.
- Step 3: Place the cartridges aside upside down.
Note: Do not leave the ink cartridge outside for more than 30 minutes.
- Step 4: Now you can remove the printhead. To do this, lift the printhead latch and take the printhead directly out.
- Step 5: Dampen a clean, lint-free cloth with hot water and wipe away the printhead's excess ink.
- Step 6: Now, soak the printhead in a disposable container with disposable paper towels submerged in warm water.
- Step 7: Let the nozzles rest on the disposable paper towel for 10 minutes and remove it.
- Step 8: Set the printhead on a dry disposable towel with the nozzles facing up to dry for 15 minutes.
Note: Do not use a hair dryer or compressed air to avoid damaging the printhead.
- Step 9: Once the printhead is dry, reinstall it and lower the latch to lock it in place.
- Step 10: Now, reinstall each cartridge back in its corresponding slots by gently pressing or pushing until you hear a click.
- Step 11: Once done, close the access door and see if the error is resolved.
