When you update your Windows computer, your Panasonic printer may show some problems. For example, the printer will not print, or the computer will not recognize your printer. It is a very common problem because the new Windows updates are not always compatible with the printer. Hence, when a recent Windows update causes problems with your Panasonic printer, you will need to fix it with these troubleshooting steps. 

Step 1: Run the Windows Troubleshooter 

When you experience issues with your Panasonic printer after updating Windows, you can run the troubleshooter on your computer. It is a feature that detects and fixes the problem automatically. If you have a problem with your printer, it will detect and eradicate the problem automatically. Check how to run the troubleshooter on Windows: 

1. To start, click the Start icon on the taskbar of your computer and search for Troubleshooting Settings. 
2. Then, click the Other Troubleshooters option on the right side of the screen. 
3. Now, you’ll see many options with which to start troubleshooting. Then, click the Run button next to Printer. 

Allow the computer to scan the problem. If it detects a problem, it will automatically resolve it too. 

Step 2: Restart the Print Spooler 

The printer spooler is an in-built feature in Windows computers that handles all the printing-related work. Since you have updated your Windows PC, there is a chance that this feature was affected and needs a restart. Check out the steps below to restart the print spooler. 

1. Click the Windows icon on your desktop’s taskbar at the bottom left. 
2. Then, search for the Services option. Select it when it appears on the list, and open it. 
3. Now, under the Services page, scroll down until you see the Print Spooler option. 
4. Once you see this option, right-click on it and select the Restart option.

Step 3: Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer

Uninstall: 

1. To begin, click the Start icon on the Windows taskbar at the bottom. 
2. Then, search for the Control Panel in the search box. Select that option when it appears on the list, and open it.

4. Now, click the Printers & Scanners option. 
5. Locate your Panasonic printer and click the Remove button next to it. 

Reinstall: 

1. To reinstall, search for Printers & Scanners in the search bar at the taskbar of your computer. 
2. Then, click the Add Device option. 
3. Now, select your Panasonic printer when it appears on the screen.
