Method 1: Print Nozzle Check & Perform Print Head Cleaning
- Step 1: Go to the home screen of the printer, select Maintenance, and press the OK button.
- Step 2: Now, select the "Print Head Nozzle Check" option and hit the OK button.
- Step 3: Press OK to proceed with the Print Head Nozzle Check.
- Step 4: Glance at the printed page and check out the broken lines. After that, press OK.
- Step 5: Press the "down" arrow button to select the "Print Head Cleaning" option and then press OK.
- Step 6: Hit the OK button to get started with the Print Head Cleaning process.
- Step 7: The cleaning process will take around 3 minutes, and you must not turn off your printer while the process is ongoing.
- Step 8: Once done, select check and press OK.
- Step 9: Press OK again to proceed to print the Nozzle Check Pattern.
- Step 10: Check the printed pattern. If the problem is still not resolved, try out method 2.
Method 2: Clean The Print Head Manually
- Step 1: From the printer's home screen, go to Maintenance and press OK.
- Step 2: Select Print Head Nozzle Check and press OK
- Step 3: Then, press OK to proceed with the Print Head Nozzle Check.
- Step 4: When you hear the print head moving, unplug the power cable from the printer.
- Step 5: Open the printer cover and slide the print head to the slide.
- Step 6: Take out the paper that was supposed to print the nozzle pattern.
- Step 7: Take a disposable paper towel, fold it, and place it under the print head.
- Step 8: Place the print head over the paper towel.
- Step 9: Unscrew the screws and remove the top cover of the print head.
- Step 10: Next, remove the default cartridges and set them aside.
- Step 11: Get a syringe and print head cleaning solution.
- Step 12: Insert the silicon tubing over the nozzle and gently push the cleaning solution to clean.
- Step 13: Repeat the process on every nozzle with the issue.
- Step 14: Adjust the paper towel as needed during the process
- Step 15: Once done, place the default cartridges back into their original position.
- Step 16: Place the top cover and screw it in place.
- Step 17: Remove the paper towel, then clean and wipe everything down.
- Step 18: Plug the power cable back into.
- Step 19: Then press the Power and Question mark buttons at the same time to perform power cleaning.
- Step 20: When the screen turns back on, select Yes and press OK to run power cleaning.
- Step 21: The power cleaning process will take about 7 minutes.
- Step 22: When the power cleaning process is complete, press OK.
- Step 23: Now, print another Nozzle Check pattern and see whether the issue is resolved.
