How to Connect a Ricoh Printer to Wi-Fi? [Top 3 Methods]

Before Setting Up Wireless LAN Settings:
 

• Check the access point: The information is needed when you set up wireless LAN settings. You can view it using the printing machine.
• Check the SSID and password (WEP Key/ Passphrase): You will need to confirm the SSID and password to set up the LAN settings. The password and SSID for the access point may be given on the label fixed to the access point. For details of password and SSID, read the access point manual.
• Check the Settings on the machine: Here, print out the network list required to get the information you need. It will take about two minutes to print the network setting list.
• Download & Install the Compatible Driver: The requirements for the LAN configuration are different for Manual and WPS. 
      a. To configure manually: install the Smart Organizing Monitor via a USB connection. Install the driver using USB Quick Install.
      b. To configure via WPS: First, set up the LAN settings, then install the driver. Download the driver via Network Quick Install (DHCP) or (Fixed IP).

Connect Ricoh Printer to Wi-Fi Using Infrastructure Mode

Use the Wizard Format

• Open the Home Screen and tap Settings.
• Then, click “Basic Settings When Installing.”

• After that, tap the Network Settings option.

• Choose a connection method among:
      a. Network
      b. Push Button
      c. PIN Code

• To choose an Access Point:
      a. Go to the access point lists.

• When you choose the Other option, check these:
      a. Security Method
      b. Network Name
      c. A password for the access point
• When you choose the Push Button:
      a. Go to the router/ access point.
      b. Then, tap on the push button.
• When you choose the PIN Code:
      a. Register the code on the screen to the router.
      b. Use the PC connected to the router to type the code.
      c. For details, enter the code using the PC.
      d. Check the manual for the access points.
• After the configuration, click Next.
• Now, the Direct Connection Settings screen will appear.
• Check if needed to enable a direct connection.
• Click the OK button when required.
• Once the configuration is complete, click “Set Up Complete.”

Connect Ricoh Printer to Wi-Fi Using Ad-Hoc Mode

If you do not want to use an access point method, you can set up the Ad-Hoc method in the Network/ Interface of System Settings. Here is how you can perform the steps.

• Go to the Home Screen and click on Settings.
• Then, tap on System Settings.
• Next, you need to click on Network Interface.
• Thereafter, go to the “Machine: Wireless LAN.”
• Now, go to the Infrastructure Mode option.
• Click the SSID Setting option.
• After that, tap the input field and enter the network name.
• Tap on the OK button in the next step.
• Click on the Security Method option.
• Then, you need to enter the encryption key.
• Now, you need to tap on OK.
• Click on the left arrow and tap Communication Mode.
• Choose “802.11 Ad-hoc Mode.”
• Click the OK button in the next step.
• Tap on “802.11 Ad-hoc Mode.”
• Click on “Ad-hoc Channel” after that.
• Choose the channel that includes the Wireless LAN type.
      a. It should be supported on the PC.
• Tap the OK button now.
• After completing the settings, tap Home.

Connect to Ricoh Printer Using System Settings 

If the machine supports WPS, you can configure the connection by tapping the WPS button on the access point. Also, you can enter the PIN code in the access point on the machine. Using WPS Setup

• Go to the Home Screen and click Settings.

• Using the WPS button:
      a. Tap Connect on the Push button.

      b. Prepare a PC that connects to the access point.
      c. On the Control Panel of the machine, tap Connect.
     d. Open the management screen and enter the PIN.

Using Manual Settings

• On your Home screen, click Settings.
• Tap “System Settings” after that.
• Then, you need to click the Network Interface.
• Go to the Machine: Wireless LAN settings.
• Now, tap on the Infrastructure Mode.
• Click the SSID Settings option now.

• Thereafter, tap the input field for the SSID Setting.
• After that, you need to type the SSID.
• Press the OK button now.
• Then, press the Security Method option.
• Choose the Security Method given in the router.
• If you choose WEP, enter the encryption key.
• For a WPA2 network, choose the authentication method.
      a. Then, enter the Encryption key.
• Click the OK button in the next step.
• Tap the Wireless LAN Signal Status.
• Then, check the connection status.
